The Time to Write: How to Find It

Over and over writers ask me how to find the time to write. With the pressures of work and a family surrounding you, it can be hard to find the time to do anything for yourself, let alone write. With four children of my own, I can relate.

Luckily I still figured out how to find the time to write my first manuscript despite being in the busiest time of my life.

How I Found the Time to Write

My husband and I had just welcomed our fourth child, Lucas, into the family. He was just a couple months old when I started writing. But I managed to carve out time to write a children's book because I had a really big why.

I had recently suffered a personal family tragedy and was determined to write a book that would help children believe in themselves. That "why" was the driving force that motivated me to find the time to write.

That's the key to making time to do the thing you never seem to have the time for — discover why you want to do it. Once you know your why, you'll find a way to make it happen.

Extra Motivation: Find a Support System

But everyone's different. Some people find they have a lot of time on their hands, and it's just a matter of motivation. Others are struggling to juggle all of life's ups and downs.

I get it. It seems there's never a perfect time to start working on your dreams. My advice is to find a coach or community who can help you stay focused on your why and find the time to write.

When I self-published I CAN Believe in Myself, I was unaware of how much it would change my life. But that book eventually became a tool for empowering over 100,000 children and set a Guinness World Record™️.

If this is your dream, I know you CAN make it happen. You just have to stay focused on your why, keep going, and join a support system that can help you find the time to write.

Who can help you get started, navigate your biggest questions, and celebrate your success?
