Angela Allman-Fenty
Angela Allman-Fenty is a retired educator. Born on the island of Barbados, she spent 15 years combined as a Geography teacher and a Guidance Counsellor in secondary school. She holds a BA (Hons.) in Geography and Sociology, M Ed. in Guidance Counselling, a Diploma in Education, and a Diploma in Career and Work Counselling. After moving to Canada, she taught briefly in Montreal, Quebec and then for 14 years in Brampton, Ontario, until her retirement in 2016. ‘Ava’s Pajama Day’ originated as a “tall tale” in her Grade 4 class on Pajama Day, in 2004. Angela was encouraged by family members and some colleagues to publish the story as her first children’s book. Angela and her husband Peter enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren, and she has fun reading to them and singing with them.
