Sherry Krehbiel

Sherry Krehbiel is a facilitator of learning with three decades of experience in education. For the past fifteen years, she offered outdoor learning to three-six-year olds using the Montessori approach towards learning. Her outdoor classroom included gardening and nurturing habitats for butterflies.

Sherry spends half the year in Kansas, and the other half on King’s River, a branch of Table Rock Lake in Missouri/Arkansas. Sherry is often found exploring and planning her butterfly garden by the lake where First Comes a Butterfly takes place.

Besides butterflies, Sherry and her husband, Mark, raised three children of their own, who have given them nine amazing grandchildren. Now retired, Sherry continues her love of learning through gardening, feeding and identifying birds, raising a variety of butterflies, and painting the nature surrounding her.

Her book is for the busy teacher looking to enrich learning opportunities or homeschooling parents looking for educational activities. But foremost, this is a story that children will love and want to hear again and again.
