Stephanie Betts Coleman
Stephanie Betts Coleman began telling stories before starting elementary school. Then she learned to write, and moved on to poetry, prose, plays, and musicals, giving performances for neighborhood children from her backyard.
She is a proud graduate of the Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of Music and Art, and holds college degrees in Education and English. She has served in the NYC public school system as an adjunct professor, high school teacher, dean, and after-school tutor/teacher of elementary school youngsters.
Stephanie currently resides in Queens, NY with her husband and high school sweetheart, where she serves as Associate Pastor of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She writes both horror stories and children’s stories, and tries to maintain the fragile balance between her inner child, who often runs amok, and her serious, responsible self.
If you ask her if she is ever going to grow up, she’ll usually answer, “Nope! Not today.”
