Shannon Moira McGuire
Shannon Moira McGuire was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has traveled widely—once moving to Europe for seven years with two senior dogs in tow.
Now that she's back home, she wants to visit schools to share stories that champion empathy and embracing differences.
Shannon was famous for her Hallowe'en witch visits and and for reading The Velveteen Rabbit at her son Parker's school. Her favorite spell was at the end of the story, where she would reveal a real rabbit from her purse!
Lil' Buddy Ain't Got No Tail? is Shannon's first book.
