Janet Francis
Janet Francis is a children’s author and retired educator. Her first
two books, Lucky’s Hidden Talent and Lucky Discovers Her Second
Talent, and this new book, Mandeep Has Talents Too, Like You, are all
parts of an expanding series she aims to create. A native of Trinidad
and Tobago, Janet believes that one’s core values are the driving
force behind one’s accomplishments. The themes and messages
in her books are geared to help build self-esteem and raise self-confidence in primary students as they navigate their world.
Although retired for more than ten years, Janet is still passionately
aware of the trends in education and is open to sharing about
her thirty-six years of teaching and subsequent twelve years of
successful and fun experiences as a substitute teacher.
Janet and her family currently reside in a suburb of Toronto,
Canada. Her divinely-inspired early retirement provided her time
and energy to write. Her desired legacy is to encourage kids as they
discover, liberate, and demonstrate their hidden talents. She believes
that the world needs the fresh ideas and gifts that are hidden within
young people.
