Luz Dang is the debut author of the Sweet Playdate Club, a heartwarming children’s book that celebrates teamwork and cultural diversity through cooking and sharing ethnic recipes. Inspired by her daughter Skylar and the cherished memories of hosting playdates filled with laughter and homemade dishes, Luz is passionate about creating stories that encourage children to step away from the screens and rediscover the joy of reading, creating, and connecting.
With a degree in English literature, Luz has always dreamed of writing for children. Her journey as a new author began with the realization of “if not now, then never”, and she hasn’t looked back since. Sweet Playdate Club is the first book in a planned five part series, aiming to spark curiosity and bring young readers together through the universal love of food and friendship.
She lives in New Jersey with her daughter, husband, and their two dogs, Lilo and Stitch. She spends her weekends traveling to volleyball tournaments and cheering on Skylar at the games. When she is not writing, you will find her spending time with her family and friends—or working on her personal growth, creating something new, or dreaming up her next book.
