Laura-Lee Blackmore is a retired railroader with a teaching degree living in Alberta, Canada. She loves brightly coloured pants, the colour purple and anything loaded with cheese. Laura-Lee has two children and two grandchildren. Pursuing her life-long dream of being a children’s author, "The Gift" is Laura-Lee’s first picture book in the "Patch of My Heart" series, which follows children giving from the heart to help others.
