Mary Young dreamt of writing children’s books when her own children were young. Today, inspired by her two grandsons, she has turned that lifelong dream into a reality. With more than 15 years of experience as a Special Education teacher, Mary loves creating stories that help children believe in themselves, celebrate what makes them unique, and choose kindness every day. Her books are written to encourage confidence, resilience, and compassion in young readers. Mary lives with her husband in the Washington, D.C. area. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her spending time with family, gardening, cooking, relaxing at the beach, or dreaming up her next story with the help of her grandsons.
