Waverly, Whales, and Waves is Sue Lowry’s first published children’s book. Living near Philadelphia, PA, Sue and her husband Rob raised their two daughters while spending summers along the New Jersey shore, camping with Nana and PopPop, or hanging with Gigi and Poppy. A college road trip/camping vacation in the Northeast included a whale watching tour in Bar Harbor, Maine, which is where the family first met Viper the Humpback whale— one of many silly characters in this book.
