What Is Believe? An Inside Look at My In-Person Event for Children’s Book Authors
If you’ve been hearing whispers about Believe LIVE and wondering what it actually is, I want to give you a clear, honest look inside the room.
Because Believe isn’t just an event on a calendar—it’s a room full of aspiring children’s book authors walking in with nerves and walking out with clarity, courage, and community.
There’s something so powerful about gathering more than a hundred people who all share the same dream: to write a children’s book that makes a difference.
I’m going to walk you through exactly what Believe is, who it’s for, what the schedule looks like, and why I felt deeply that it needed to come back for 2026.

What Is Believe LIVE?
Believe LIVE is my in-person event for aspiring and published children’s book authors.
It’s two full days — and two and a half if you join me for the VIP experience — dedicated to growth. Not just growth as a writer—growth as a person.
When I picture Believe, I don’t first think about the stage, or the slides, or even the teaching.
I think about the room.

People introducing themselves.
People connecting.
People realizing they are not the only one who has ever doubted themselves.
People feeling safe enough to share their dream out loud.
Most people arrive not knowing anyone. That alone can feel intimidating.
So from the very beginning, I guide exercises designed to help everyone feel comfortable, seen, and connected. I want you talking to someone within minutes. I want you realizing you belong in that room.
Because you do.

My Favourite Believe Memory
When I think about the last Believe, I don’t have one single highlight moment.
What comes to mind is something simpler.
Hugging.
Smiling.
Joy.
I remember looking around during breaks and seeing people deep in conversation. I remember the exercises where someone would have a breakthrough and the person beside them would quietly affirm them. I remember the party at the end — and the smiles everywhere.
That’s what stays with me.
It’s not just learning. It’s transformation.

What the Schedule Looks Like
We begin each day at 9:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. Believe is two days (two and a half days for VIP) total, and each day is focused on a different theme. The heartbeat that runs through the entire schedule is growth.
Day One: Believe in Your Community

The first day is about connection.
The opening of Believe is to help you settle into the room and build relationships. You will meet aspiring authors and published authors. You will rub elbows with people who have already held their books in their hands.
That proximity matters.
Being in the same room as someone who has done what you dream of doing shifts something internally. You begin to think, “If they did it…maybe I can too.”
Day Two: Believe in Your Vision

The second day is about clarity.
It’s one thing to say, “I want to write a children’s book”, but it’s another thing entirely to define what that actually looks like in your life.
This day is about setting a clear vision. Not a vague hope — but a direction.
When your vision is clear, your decisions become clearer.
We’ll start with some breakthrough work, and a further dive into that gathering of community. I want everyone to feel safe, and to know that they are in a place where they can share without fear of judgement.
In the afternoon, I bring in incredible speakers and we dive into children’s book writing in a focused way. It’s practical. It’s inspiring. It’s grounded.
But it’s layered on top of something more important: safety and belonging.
Day Three: Believe in Your Action

The final day is about momentum.
Dreams need action. It’s not enough to just think about what you want to achieve, you have to take active steps towards the goal. I know how hard it can be to come up with this motivation on your own, which is why this day at Believe is particularly important.
By the time you leave, you won’t just feel inspired — you will have a plan for how to get your book out into the world.
You will know:
- What you’re working on next
- What your next steps are
- What action looks like in your real, everyday life
And that clarity changes everything.
Why I Brought Believe Back for 2026
I felt that it was needed.
Truly.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the privilege of publishing so many new authors. And I haven’t yet been able to meet many of them in person.
I need that.
But more importantly, I kept hearing the same question:
“Is Believe coming back?”
Authors who had attended in the past and authors who had never been to Believe were all asking me the same thing. It proved to me that there is something about in-person connection that virtual spaces simply cannot replicate.
I couldn’t imagine waiting another year.
So Believe is back.

Who Believe Is Really For
Believe is for the person who has a passion for writing for children.
That’s it.
You might not have written a single word yet.
You might have a draft tucked away in a drawer.
You might already be published and craving renewed motivation.
If you want to make a difference through children’s books, you belong there.
You do not need to feel “ready.” You just need to feel willing.
I believe deeply in learning craft. You should absolutely learn about structure, word count, illustration notes, editing, marketing — all of it.
But knowledge alone does not get a book published.
Mindset does.
Your mind is powerful. It can move you forward, but it can also quietly hold you back.
Fear of being seen.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of not being good enough.
Fear of putting your work into the world.
If your mindset is not strong, you will hesitate at every step.
That’s why Believe is built the way it is. You cannot separate learning from personal growth, and you cannot separate strategy from courage.
When your mindset is strengthened, action becomes possible.
What Happens When You Leave
One of my favourite things to witness is this:
The person who walks in on day one is not the same person who walks out at the end.
Shoulders are back.
Smiles are wider.
Language has shifted from “maybe someday” to “this is what I’m doing next.”

And when you go home, something powerful happens.
You sit down at your desk. You open your manuscript. You take action.
Not because someone pressured you.
But because you believe.
Here’s something I know after years of working with authors:
You cannot build your dream in isolation.
Writing is solitary. Publishing does not have to be.
When you surround yourself with people who are walking the same path, something inside you strengthens.
You begin to normalize courage, growth, and finishing what you start.
Community does not replace hard work–it fuels it.
If you’re considering Believe, here are a few questions to ask yourself:
Do I crave being in a room with people who understand this dream?
Do I need clarity on my next step?
Do I want to strengthen my mindset, not just my skillset?
Am I ready to take action on my book?
If you answered yes to even one of those, that’s worth paying attention to.
If you feel stirred reading this, I invite you to learn more about Believe 2026 and see if it feels aligned for you.
There is no pressure, just information.
Sometimes the first brave step is simply exploring what’s possible.
You are not “behind.” You are not late. You are not the only one who feels unsure.
I have seen so many authors walk into that room carrying doubt — and leave carrying belief.
And I would love to see you there.
Take a leap.
I believe in you.
