Isabelle Herring lives and works at Sweet Apple Farm in Georgia, with her husband David. After a career as an award-winning Art Educator for 30+ years, she discovered a new passion: Mushrooms! Happy to join grandmothers from all over the world; throughout history, she loves sharing her knowledge of the woods and mushrooms.
In hopes of connecting everyone with Nature, Izzy guides groups out on “Forays” (or Mushroom Hunts) to teach wild mushroom identification. Her passion got her the nickname, “Mad Izzy”. Now, with her books and artwork, she welcomes everyone to join her adventures out in the forest.
